Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Community Manager to join our team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in growing our online presence, engaging with learners, and promoting user-generated content. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to increase our online presence and engagement across social media platforms.
- Manage and moderate our online communities, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for learners.
- Promote user-generated content to foster a sense of belonging and encourage community participation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in community management, social media, and forums to inform our strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of community initiatives and provide insights to senior management.
- Support the Social and Partnerships team in tracking community engagement metrics and sharing insights.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Professional fluency or native level in English and American Sign Language (ASL).
- Deep insights into Deaf culture and community.
- Active engagement in the Deaf community.
- Awareness of cultural sensitivities and nuances when interacting with Deaf individuals.
- Proven experience in customer support and/or community moderation/management.
- Experience with social media platforms, community platforms, and online conference call platforms.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to adapt to our tone of voice and brand identity.
- Self-motivation and a detail-oriented mindset.

This is a permanent, part-time position (20 hours per week) based in the continental US. We are open to welcoming Deaf applicants and strongly prefer individuals actively engaged in the Deaf community. Listed pay is the minimum amount; actual pay will depend on qualifications and experience.
Lingvano GmbH was founded in 2018 and has quickly grown to become one of the largest platforms for learning sign languages online. We offer courses for American Sign Language (ASL), British Sign Language (BSL), and Austrian Sign Language (OEGS). Our team consists of an international and diverse group of Deaf and hearing individuals working together to help you connect with Deaf relatives, friends, colleagues, or neighbors.
