About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Layout Engineer to join our team at ANDRITZ, a leading global supplier of plants and equipment for hydropower, pulp and paper, aluminum, and other industries. As a Layout Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative solutions for our P2X market, which focuses on green hydrogen and renewable fuel plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create 3D plant layouts and equipment designs in coordination with project teams
  • Review and release of designs under consideration of contractual and internal requirements
  • Close collaboration with colleagues in other departments and locations
  • Coordinate the deliverables with other relevant disciplines (electrical, automation, civil, etc.)
  • Participate in safety evaluations and the preparation of installation procedures
  • Optimize and develop new design concepts in collaboration with process engineering and R&D
  • Take the responsibility to coordinate mechanical engineering tasks within projects depending on your experience
Requirements
  • Degree level qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline
  • Minimum three years of experience in plant layout or machine engineering, background within the petrochemical industry is a plus
  • Knowledge about 3D CAD programs, Aveva E3D or Autocad Inventor is a plus
  • Knowledge about ISO/EN standard, additional knowledge about US standards is a plus
  • Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements is expected
