As a Trapped-Ion Development Engineer, you will be part of a passionate team dedicated to making quantum computing a reality. You will work closely with top-tier customers and academic partners to drive the industrialization of trapped-ion quantum processors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate cutting-edge ion trap chips into quantum processing units (QPUs).
- Collaborate with commercial partners to develop the next generations of QPUs.
- Enable research projects with academic partners to advance the state-of-the-art in quantum computing.
- Supervise master and PhD students in their research endeavors.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a PhD in physics, quantum engineering, photonics, or computational physics, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or trapped-ion quantum computing. Proficiency in English is required, with German skills or the willingness to learn being an added advantage.
