Axpo is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Solutions Architect to support our energy trading business with core IT solutions focused on position management and scheduling. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the evolution of our IT systems to manage increased complexity, speed, and data volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement software applications related to position management and scheduling
- Develop and maintain close relationships with business stakeholders, understand end-to-end processes, and propose technical solutions
- Oversee software vendor relationships, including offers, contracts, and quality control
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the team's software development and cloud engineering capabilities
- Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, strong communication skills, and a strong team player mentality
Requirements:
- Degree in IT, engineering, economics, or a related field
- Several years of experience as an application engineer, technical business analyst, cloud engineer, solution engineer, developer, or a similar role
- Expertise in application engineering and management, covering strategy, maintenance, support, implementation, and security, including vendor management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt, manage, and influence various business and IT stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills and a strong team player
- Experience in the energy sector or trading is a plus
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud is an asset; a willingness to develop in this area is required
- Proficiency in both German and English
