About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Software Engineering to lead our software development teams and drive innovation in our products. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining the organizational setup of the teams, growing them by finding the right talents, and inspiring and empowering your team through mentorship and coaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage 10-15 development teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders across labs and focus areas.
  • Define the organizational setup of the teams and grow them by finding the right talents through local and international recruiting.
  • Inspire and empower your team through mentorship and coaching, providing career guidance and driving cross-lab alignment.
  • Extend business value and drive development-side ownership of product capabilities.
  • Plan, monitor, and steer strategic development topics, taking part in strategic roadmap planning, and improving development processes.
  • Livest, support, and develop Dynatrace values and culture, translating vision into the competencies of the lab, and driving innovation.
  • Support collaboration with universities, institutions, and user groups, and strengthen Dynatrace's popularity.
  • Drive solutions and innovation by excellence, not by hierarchy, and lead through empowerment.
Requirements
  • Experience in building and scaling successful software departments.
  • Ability to work and scale within a fast-growing and agile company, thinking and planning strategically.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience with development teams in an agile software environment.
  • Experience in leading leaders and being able to coach and mentor bigger teams.
  • Organizational Change Expert: dealing with change and being able to scale a growing company.
  • Proven track record of building a culture that encourages autonomy, innovation, teamwork, and productivity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for working with different audiences.

Compensation and Rewards
  • We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
  • Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
