About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Adverity. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of our engineering team and driving the development of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software products.
  • Technical Vision: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive technical initiatives and develop the delivery roadmap.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve how product development teams work in an Agile/Lean environment, identifying and removing blockers, and increasing the quality and effectiveness of product development processes.
  • Talent Development: Inspire and empower engineers through coaching, mentorship, and regular actionable feedback, supporting individuals in planning their development within the Adverity Engineering Career Ladder context.
  • Team Growth: Participate in hiring and onboarding of product development teams, helping to retain top engineering talents and build a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing engineering team.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring product development teams to deliver timely, high-quality software.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid experience working in an Agile/Lean development environment, with a drive to deliver value, constantly adapting to change, and the ability to manage engineering timelines for large software projects.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to advocate, persuade, and negotiate with peers, and enjoy writing things down to synthesise information.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about mid and long-term projects and initiatives.
  • Technical Background: Background as a Software Engineer, with experience leading remote teams based in Europe, and experience with B2B product-driven engineering teams.
