In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating the Process Engineering Team in Vienna, both in terms of management and professional development, while allocating internal resources effectively.
  • Executing process engineering assignments in line with your expertise.
  • Overseeing the engineering processes throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Scheduling engineering tasks and resources in alignment with the overall project timeline.
  • Clarifying, discussing, and presenting technical solutions to clients.
  • Serving as a liaison for clients and suppliers regarding technical design matters.
  • Collaborating with internal product design experts to address required modifications.
  • Providing problem-solving support and serving as an escalation point within the Process Engineering Team.
  • Establishing common operational guidelines, tools, and procedures.
  • Offering leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team of process engineers in Vienna.
  • Promoting a collaborative and innovative team atmosphere to stimulate creativity and problem-solving.
  • Setting clear objectives and performance expectations for team members, while providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Reporting to both the Director of Engineering in Vienna and the Global Director of Engineering for our P2X solutions.

Required qualifications include:

  • A degree in chemical or process engineering.
  • At least five years of experience as a lead engineer, with a minimum of three years in managing multinational teams and driving improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience in process engineering within the petrochemical sector; knowledge of the electrolyzer industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to consult with clients and regulatory bodies regarding technical design requirements.
  • Proficiency in explaining design solutions in an engaging manner.
  • A demonstrated history of building and nurturing high-performing teams through effective coaching and talent development.
  • Capability to manage conflicts and resolve interpersonal issues within the team, fostering a harmonious work environment.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills.
  • A solution-oriented approach with the confidence to act proactively.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for at least five days each month.
