We are currently seeking exceptional individuals to fill a key management position, a role that is pivotal in bringing our core values of positivity, accountability, community, and caring to life. In this capacity, the Environmental Services Manager plays a crucial role. Through leadership excellence, the successful candidate will not only manage their department's budget but also ensure that their team delivers exemplary service. This role is responsible for creating an enriching experience for both Team Members and Residents, fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and cared for. In this role, you will oversee operations and craft an atmosphere where joy and well-being flourish.

A competitive salary and vacation packageHealth & Dental benefits programRRSP with employer matchShare Ownership and Reward Program (SOAR)Employee Share Purchase Plan with company matchContinuous learning and growth so you have the skillset needed to succeed and take on new challengesA welcoming culture that values diversity and differing perspectives, experiences and beliefsWhat You Will be Doing:Oversee the environmental services of the retirement homePlan, coordinate, direct and monitor the effectiveness of all activities within the housekeeping, laundry and maintenance departmentsHire, onboard, orient, train, schedule, supervise, and offer feedback/coaching to team members in the environmental service department to uphold Aspira standardsManage departmental budgets, ensuring availability of adequate resources and equipment through budget preparation, maintenance, and hiring of suitable staff as neededEnsure the building, including its equipment, furnishings, and fixtures, is maintained in a clean, sanitary, and well-repaired conditionManage the upkeep of external grounds and supervise the waste management program for the homeEnsure that linen and residents' personal clothing are laundered in a timely and efficient mannerAssist in the implementation of the fire safety program for the homeManage the quality assurance program for housekeeping, maintenance, and laundry services. Support and engage in quality initiatives by offering input and suggestions for improvement, and reporting feedback to the General ManagerOversee and manage the routine and preventative maintenance program for the homeWho You Are:Hold a degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution, with relevant background and experience in environmental servicesSuccessfully completed Fire Safety planning training for owners and operators as per provincial regulationsPossess a background in the building trades, with the ability to read and interpret building prints/drawings considered advantageousBrings two years of supervisory and/or management experience, with a focus on housekeeping, laundry, or maintenance practicesYou have strong people skills that can guide, motivate and supervise a diverse team while also being able to delegate tasks effectivelyCan demonstrate patient, understanding, and able to connect with both residents and their familiesYou are able to think quickly, adapt to changing situations, and resolve issues efficientlyPossess effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, manage budgets and ensure the smooth operation of the departmentWhat you need to know:Sienna Senior Living is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and residents feel like they belong.
