We are currently seeking applications for a Treasury
Systems Specialist to join the South Australian Government
Financing Authority (SAFA) within the Department of Treasury and
Finance on an ongoing basis.
SAFA functions as the central financing authority, captive
insurer and manager of the passenger and light commercial fleet
operations for the Government of South Australia.
SAFA plays an
integral role in the overall management of the State Government's
finances and risks, harnessing economies of scale and relevant
expertise in wholesale financial markets and insurance markets to
provide a range of treasury, insurance and vehicle fleet management
services to public sector clients, set by its strategic
direction.
Remuneration: ASO7 – Salary Range
($108,109 - $116,864 p.a.)
The role:
The Treasury Systems Specialist is responsible for the provision
of systems support, database administration services and continuous
improvement initiatives for SAFA's Treasury Management
System.
The primary focus of the role is day to day management of this
key business application and related processes, along with
implementation of system changes and report development, in
collaboration with other systems staff, the software vendor and
stakeholders.
About you:
To be successful you will have:

Extensive experience providing support and maintenance for
financial systems.
Expert knowledge and understanding of treasury
mark-to-market accounting and awareness of market risk
concepts, including PnL attribution, Value at Risk (VaR), and
other quantitative risk metrics.
Demonstrated ability to undertake high level financial
research and analysis, identify and resolve complex strategic
and operational issues with practical and effective solutions
through consultation with subject matter experts.
