Academic - Foundation Studies (Business & IT)UTS College provides a pathway for students into the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), one of Australia's leading universities, and it is our vision to actualise potential and enhance lives through the power of learning, our actions and our people.
We currently have the opportunity for 2 Academic Teachers to join the Foundation Studies program on a sessional basis in Semester 1.
Subjects include Foundation Business and Foundation IT.
About the Role
This position is responsible for:
TeachingPreparing, delivering, and facilitating tutorials and workshops as outlined in the curriculum for the subject each week in subject area of expertise, as agreed with the Program ManagerGrading assignments, tests, examinations, and other assessment items as requiredProviding detailed, timely, and meaningful feedback to studentsPerforming all other teaching-related duties such as preparation for scheduled hours of teaching, administration of student records and informal consultations with studentsGeneral DutiesProviding early learning support and referrals as needed to UTS College Study Success AdvisorsIn consultation with the Academic Coordinator and Program Manager, participating in a range of professional development activitiesAttending staff and subject meetings as requiredCompleting special assignments under the direction of the Program Manager as requiredEstablishing ongoing channels of communication with Academic Coordinators, Study Success Advisors, the Program Manager and academic colleagues to ensure consistent quality of teachingAbout You
To succeed in this role you must have:
