As such, we are in a period of exciting and significant investment in our Faculty of Medicine and Health and to deliver on the University's ambitious strategic plan, we are seeking an Education Design Manager to lead a team of Education Designers.
The manager leads innovation in teaching and learning design and student learning experience by providing practical solutions and advice on pedagogically suitable tools and approaches.
You will be responsible for leading a team that provide expert advice, training, and support to staff to make the best use of educational technology to deliver engaging and effective courses.
This role is based at our Camperdown campus and will require you to be onsite fulltime.

Your key responsibilities will be to: provide effective leadership and management guidance and support to the educational designers in the Educational Design & Innovation Team including feedback, coaching and support for individual performance, career, and talent development, to build an effective and high performing team identify and appraise educational design needs and opportunities across faculty programs and develops viable strategies to improve the student experience partner with academic staff to make the best use of educational technology to deliver engaging and effective courses manage the provision of advice around educational design and innovation initiatives to better support the design and development of undergraduate and postgraduate programs provide pedagogical and technical expertise and leadership to the work area in the creation and development of educational resources to enhance student learning experience.
About you To be successful in this role, you have: demonstrated experience in the supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff; and experience managing and resolving a diverse range of HR issues experience delivering education programs, preferably in a tertiary education environment demonstrated ability to work with and collegially influence a range of professional and academic staff, preferably in a tertiary education environment effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, exercise attention to detail, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.
