The hotel also features elegant and indulgent food and beverage outlets, an executive lounge, two fitness centres, a day spa and fully flexible event spaces for up to 1100 delegates.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Food and Beverage Supervisor for our In Room Dining department at our prestigious hotel in Brisbane, Australia.
This role is crucial in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests within the comfort of their rooms.Oversee and coordinate all aspects of in-room dining operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and serviceLead and motivate a team of room service attendants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedbackManage guest orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while maintaining excellent customer serviceMonitor and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with local regulationsCollaborate with the kitchen team to update and improve in-room dining menusHandle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues promptly and professionallyManage inventory, place orders, and control costs while minimising wasteCreate and adjust staff schedules to meet service demands and optimize efficiencyEnsure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all in-room dining equipment and service areasParticipate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsProven experience (2-3 years minimum) in food and beverage service, preferably in a luxury hotelPrevious supervisory experience in hospitalityHigh school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferredCurrent Food Safety Certification and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificationStrong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectivelyExcellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiencesThorough knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and cost controlStrong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenIn-depth understanding of in-room dining operations and hotel guest service standardsKnowledge of current food and beverage trendsAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 poundsAdditional InformationBring passion and dedication to excellence, and we will recognise your contribution with a variety of benefits, rewards and development opportunities.
