We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Conference & Events (Banquets) Supervisor.
Supervising the operations in banqueting to ensure our events run as smoothly as possible.
The Conference Centre presents itself as a unique designer space with 11 purpose-built meeting rooms, allowing for endless possibilities.
The Banquets Supervisor will be primarily responsible for the operational requirements of the banqueting department but may also be required to work some shifts in the restaurant.
ResponsibilitiesMeet & greet at the commencement of the event, run through the planned program, note any changes and advise other departments accordinglySupervise, lead and manage the banquets teamEnsure that any guest requests are handled promptly and courteously, providing an outstanding and memorable guest experience.Coordinating team members to ensure events run smoothlyBe operational, hands on assisting the teamSupervise and execute function room set up and service to ensure client needs are met according to the event orderTo be successful in this role, the applicant must possess:Passion for customer serviceSupervisory experience in a similar roleProven experience in leading and motivating a teamStrong interpersonal skills both with internal and external customersDemonstrated ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressureExcellent time management and communication skillsBe available to work a minimum of 38 hours per week across a variety of shiftsBenefits:Great team environmentLearning & Development opportunitiesDuty mealsUniform provided and launderedCentral city location with complimentary onsite secure parkingDiscounted accommodation rates at Australian and New Zealand propertiesDiscounted Food and Beverage #J-18808-Ljbffr
