Job Description
The Conference and Events Operations Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of a multitude of events including functions, dinners, expos and conferences.
Success in this role is the ability to manage a team of food and beverage attendants to execute phenomenal service in Brisbane's largest hotel conferencing operation, working collaboratively with other hotel departments including the Sales and Kitchen teams.
What you will be doing: Lead, mentor and train a team of food and beverage ambassadorsEnsure client expectations are met, delivering a service that exudes luxury and aligns with Sofitel brand standardsCollaborate with other hotel departments to strategise on new product and service offeringsPromote a strong Heartist culture and a team that is focused on providing unforgettable experiences to our guestsQualifications
You'll excel in this role if you have:
A luxury service focus is essentialA degree in hospitality management, event management, or a related field is preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in conference and events management preferably in a luxury hotel or similar environmentProven track record of leading and motivating a team to deliver exceptional resultsExperience managing budgets, forecasting, and achieving financial targetsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and vendorsStrong networking skills with proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationshipsExperience in building a strong team cultureA record of high performance and achievementAdditional Information
