Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Role based in Brisbane with head office on the Gold Coast and covering South East Queensland area.We are currently seeking an experienced estimator with experience working on Insurance Building Claims.About us:We are a small but fast growing company, who have become leaders within the insurance building sector.Our experienced Team are extremely passionate in what they do and have enabled our company to provide our clients with outstanding service and communication. We pride ourselves in a level of detail, communication, transparency and cost effectiveness we provide our clients.We specialize in Strata / Domestic /Commercial property damage through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact damage and malicious damage.The Role:We are looking for a versatile person who thrives on a challenge and looks forward to not only growing the business but growing within the business.The estimator is responsible for the initial site meeting, providing a budget and time frame for the reinstatement works required.You will require to have a great building methodology when it comes to preparing a detailed repair scope that meets current code requirements.Key activities Include:Write up Property Reports explaining the cause of the damage to the property.Must have an understanding of providing a quote based upon current Building codes.Must be able to work in with certifiers, engineers and building consultants.Produce detailed quotations based upon a visual site Inspection. (Not a quote from a Plan).Provide regular client updates and liaise with property owners/managers, assessors/insurers/brokers.Produce project plans.Experience/QualificationsMust have experience in the construction industry.Must hold a current Australian Drivers Licence.Must have a good understanding of QBCC/NCC and trade compliance.Must be an Australian Citizen.Child Safety Blue Card or willing to obtain one.Police check or willing to complete a check prior to commencement.Computer literate and sound ability to utilise mobile technologies.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Construction Induction white/blue card.Ability to work independently and be multi tasked.Explore the OpportunityNegotiable salary, dependant on your experience.This role includes a company serviced vehicle, phone, computer, all required tools and uniform.Your application will include the following questions:Do you have a current Working With Children (WWC) Check?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as an Estimator?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?How many years' experience do you have in the construction industry?Do you have experience preparing and submitting tenders?Do you have customer service experience?Do you hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)?
