Director of Professional Learning - Wahroonga Prep SchoolKnox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney's North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.A leading Uniting Church School, Knox aims to develop students of Faith, Wisdom, Integrity, Compassion and Courage within a caring Christian environment.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Director of Professional Learning at Wahroonga Prep School is a permanent full time role which forms part of a K-12 team focused on enhancing the teaching and learning capability of the Knox academic community, with the goal of ultimately improving student outcomes. The Director of Professional Learning will identify, plan and lead the professional development needs of the academic staff including supporting candidates undergoing accreditation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a culture of continuous improvement and professional growthIdentify the learning needs of the academic staff and work with teachers to set and achieve their goalsCapture data for evaluation and teacher development purposesSupport teachers through the teacher accreditation processMaintain current legislative awareness of teacher accreditation requirements and guidelines, communicating them effectively across the school communitySupport the School's NESA Registration process, including the submission of relevant materialsProven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and inspire teamsIn collaboration with other stakeholders, establish the appropriate evaluation frameworks and measures to determine the effectiveness of learning solutions relative to student outcomesQualifications and ExperienceExperience in leadership and embedding pedagogical development within a K-6 school settingPrevious experience implementing initiatives, delivering projects and strategically managing changeA comprehensive understanding of the NESA standards and their application within a primary schoolDemonstrated experience in successfully overseeing teacher accreditationThe ability to demonstrate and inspire the educational application of contemporary technologiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWhy join Wahroonga Preparatory School?Be part of a forward-thinking school communityOpportunities for professional development and growthCollaborative and supportive environmentCompetitive salary and benefits packageHOW TO APPLYKnox offers outstanding long-term career opportunities, is values driven and an equal opportunity employer.
