Management (Information & Communication Technology) Contract/Temp This global interiors company is seeking an IT Manager in Melbourne to ensure the secure and effective operation of all IT systems and applications, as well as identifying and implementing improvements.
The role also contributes to shaping the IT strategy and delivering projects to meet the future needs of the business.
The IT Manager leads the small and experienced IT Team, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operations and the customer experience.
The IT Manager reports directly to the Head of Finance and plays an integral role as a member of the Leadership Group, working closely with key operational leaders.
Success will be defined by exceptional internal and external customer service, streamlined operational efficiencies, and improved methods of working.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to leverage their experience and skills in IT management.
They'll be comfortable working with diverse groups and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
They'll be a team player, keen to collaborate to achieve outcomes and to roll up their sleeves in this hands-on role.
Initially a 6 month contract, there is the possibility of extension or permanency for the right person.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership Supporting development and delivery of the IT strategyContributing to operational planning as a member of the Leadership GroupManaging the IT Team, including day-to-day operations, performance, and staff developmentDeveloping strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholdersFostering a culture of accountability and customer-centricityManaging ETL/ELT processes, data lakehouse, and warehouse infrastructureImplementing and monitoring integration strategies across applicationsCreating data analytics solutions and recommending insights and reporting strategies to support business decision makingPreparing and presenting reports for internal and external stakeholdersGuiding and coaching managers to enhance systems understanding and capabilityReviewing and optimising processes to maximise the value of IT systems for end usersLeading initiatives to identify and leverage new technologies to underpin business operationsIT Operations Management Monitoring and assisting daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systemsCoordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenanceSelecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and softwareTesting and troubleshooting systems to ensure effective operationEnsuring all IT activities are within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulationABOUT YOU - To be successful you'll have 3 – 5 years experience in a similar positionRelevant qualification / certification or progress toward (e.g.
IT, Business / Commerce, Project Management, Agile etc), or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills.Experience with modern data and integration strategies (Azure preferred), including data lakehouse implementations, serverless/event-driven architecture, and observability/orchestration platformsExcellent working knowledge of IT infrastructure, computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telephone/telecommunications systemsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExperience in managing third parties and negotiating agreements / SLAsDemonstrated 'hands-on' approachAbility to lead a team to bring out their bestDemonstrated team player, with a flexible and collaborative working style, adaptive to changeDemonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skillsStrong at establishing processes and streamlining proceduresAbility to meet deadlines and manage workloads and priorities to meet business needsExperienced in MS Office Suite, CRM and / or ERPs (e.g.
