Leading mid-sized organisation in tertiary education sector. The Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Manager to join our client in the education sector.
This position offers the chance to lead a skilled team, drive key projects, manage vendors as contribute to strategy work.
You will need a strong background in Windows based IT infrastructure as well as a strong commercial mindset.
Note, this role is a 18 month fixed-term contract position.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the IT infrastructure teamDeliver technical leadership and strategic direction to ensure a secure, scalable infrastructure aligned with the business's future growth plansOversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Windows technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMwareManage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, SLA monitoring, and vendor selection for hardware, software, and servicesAct as an escalation point to resolve complex infrastructure issues, minimizing disruptions to business operationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new infrastructure solutions seamlessly across the organizationPromote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for cost reduction, system efficiency, and process enhancementCandidate Experience Experience in IT management roles / managing complex vendor relationshipsExperience delivering IT projects (infrastructure, security, ERP preferred but not essential)Strong expertise in Windows technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), Office 365, and cloud environments.Please note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 3-5 business days.
