At Dymocks Tutoring, the spaces are created with the comfort of our students in mind including study spaces, a common room, and a kitchen.
We also have top-of-the-line resources and learning technology with online classes for you to work at your leisure.
ABOUT YOU
You might be:
Undergraduate with ATAR above 85 and Band 6 in the subject to be tutored
Graduate with University Transcript and acceptable weighted average mark
Teachers and PhD
Prior tutoring experience is desirable, not essential.
Most important is that you are a clear and enthusiastic communicator with a good grasp of the subject matter.
We will supplement that knowledge with our own teaching materials.
When applying, applicants select locations that they are able to tutor.
In terms of thinking skills, this is primary grade students taking the OC or Selective exam.
Students will be in year 3 & 4 for the OC and year 5 & 6 for Selective.
We are also expecting thinking skills tutors to also be able to tutor either primary school Maths or English.
CONDITIONS & REMUNERATION
We try our best to look after our tutors as well as our students.
That's why we pay above market remuneration ranging inclusive of superannuation from:
Level 1A (Undergraduate, Under 20): $40.22
Level 1B (Undergraduate, 20 and Over): $43.49
Level 2 (Graduate Tutor): $55.25
Level 3 (Teacher/PhD): $65.00
Level 4 (HSC Marker): $75.00
Level 5 (Exceptional HSC Marker): $92.00
Level 6 (Math/English State Ranker): $100.00
There are also no surprises with us.
We do ask that tutors don't work with other tutoring businesses whilst they are with us but you're free to work wherever you like if you decide to move on to other opportunities.
Shifts are available weeknights from 4:30 PM and on weekends 9 - 6 PM.
