Key responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership, direction and support to a team of professionals who are responsible for the day to day management of sustainment and contract activities.Asset Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of all relevant assets, from acquisition and operation to maintenance and disposal, ensuring maximum efficiency and value from these assets.Financial Oversight: Manage the budget for sustainment activities, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and monitoring expenditure against planned budgets.Performance Monitoring: Develop relevant and impactful KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the sustainment operations.
Regularly track these indicators to assess performance and implement improvements.Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to Senior Leadership on sustainment activities, vendor management, contract compliance and team performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.Risk Management: Continuously identify potential risks in the sustainment processes and develop strategies to mitigate them.Compliance: Ensure compliance with service contracts, ensuring all parties meet agreed upon terms and performance standards, including monitoring and reporting of KPIs and metrics.Stakeholder Engagement: Foster positive, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve service delivery and align sustainment and contract management practices with market needs and expectations.About You: Education: Bachelor's degree in Contract Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Post Grad study will be highly regarded.Experience: At least 7 years of experience in sustainment, maintenance management, or operations, particularly in a leadership role within defence, industry or technology sectors.Technical Skills: Profound knowledge of advanced maintenance management systems and sustainment methodologies.Leadership and Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, with a strong focus on team building, strategic planning and resource management, including uplift.Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of budgeting, financial and contract management in a technical environment.Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex ideas and engaging diverse audiences, including internal and external stakeholders.Certifications: Certifications in project management, asset management, contract management or related fields will be highly regarded.Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance - NV1.
