The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Welding Technician to join our Networks team in Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Supervisor Fabrication, you will be responsible for welding construction, maintenance and fabrication in compliance with Australian Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Completing welding construction and fabrication in compliance with Australian Standards Maintaining weld and material traceability on transmission pipeline and station projects Performing hydraulic and pneumatic pressure testing on fabricated equipment Safely and efficiently installing metering facilities according to relevant standards and APA Group procedure Liaising and communicating effectively with other departments and customers to coordinate the installation of metering equipment Your background
Trade qualification and quality experience in welding and fabrication Proficiency in Tungsten Inert Gas and Manual Metal Arc Welding to pressure pipe standard Ability to interpret engineering drawings for construction Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team and a variety of stakeholders Strong focus on safety and standards About the Team
Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
