As a Senior Manager, BCM, you will be responsible for implementing and ensuring adherence to risk management frameworks, policies, and controls in the Cash and Transactional Banking (C&TB) Line of Business (LOB), as well as regulatory obligations and the Westpac Group Risk appetite.
You will support CT&B stakeholders to deliver quality products and outcomes to its customers by leading and ensuring effective risk and compliance management across the C&TB value chains.
This includes leading the implementation and management of Risk frameworks and policies, implementing and testing controls, providing risk and compliance expertise and collaboration across the value chain, and embedding Value chain risk management and Risk in change practices in the business.
Further key responsibilities include: Lead in identifying, documenting, and assessing risks and controls to drive a strong risk and controls culture Champion quarterly risk profile refreshes and presenting reviews of triggers and risk assessments Identify risk drivers and root causes, as well as supporting plans to address any out of appetite risks Identify common controls across the line of business/value chain that can be standardised/centralised? or automated Assess control testing activity, results, and actions/impact, and identify opportunities for enhancement/streamlining Provide Risk and Compliance subject matter expertise to C&TB leadership and team Act as a conduit into the BCM Squads across C&TB, working in partnership to ensure alignment Keep second line risk informed, capture, and incorporate their feedback What's in it for me?

What do I need?
To be successful in this role you must be an experienced Banking and Financial Services, Consulting, or Regulatory risk professional with at least 7 years of experience in Risk management, Compliance, or Internal Audit.
Other key attributes include: Adaptable and the ability to think strategically and be innovative Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to demonstrate long term relationship building skills Advanced skills in: communication, negotiation, influencing, teamwork, relationship building, and problem solving Be proactive, organised and outcomes focussed Facilitation and business case building skills is advantageous What's it like to work there?
