About Austin Health Pathology
Austin Health Pathology is a department of Austin Health and provides routine and complex diagnostic services to not only Austin Health and the co-located Mercy Hospital for Women, but also to numerous GPs and Specialists in the metropolitan and regional community.
AHP currently comprises 5 laboratories; main laboratory is located at the Heidelberg campus and 4 regional laboratories at Echuca, Swan Hill, Mildura and Shepparton, multiple Point of Care sites and accredited collection centres across metropolitan and regional Victoria
About the role
The Quality Administrative Officer provides support and management for the on-going maintenance of the Pathology Quality Management System (QMS) database (Q-Pulse), associated quality equipment and training in these systems
A regular day will see you:
Manage requests from users in relation to the QMS
Provide advice, training and troubleshooting on the QMS
General management of the database, including managing documents, training and compiling KPI's / usage data
Perform quality equipment checks and management across the network
About you
As the Quality Administrative Officer, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

Demonstrated passion for quality, patient safety and risk management and an understanding of quality management systems in Pathology
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a small dynamic team
Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine degree, or alternative/equivalent science degree recognised by AIMS, AACB, AAM or ASC
