Position Summary
As a Manager at RSM in our SMSF division, you will have a broad range of technical, client, and supervisory responsibilities.
From a technical point of view, you will contribute to the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).
In addition, you will oversee a portfolio of clients and manage a team of junior staff to deliver work in a timely and accurate manner, while providing support to Partners to grow the SMSF division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Review SMSF work papers and ensure appropriate evidence is documented before the file goes to Audit.Share knowledge, best practices, and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team.Meet with clients to form positive relationships and identify value-added opportunities.Manage workflow of the team and communicate with partners on a frequent basis on necessary matters.Review work of team members.Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current legal and accounting reporting standards.Meet lodgement and other reporting deadlines.Apply knowledge of the SMSF Legislation & related case law to client circumstances. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Essential Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major Desirable Completed or working towards completion of CA or equivalentCompleted SMSF specialist course DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES: Essential 5-7 years' experience in Professional ServicesPrevious experience managing a teamExperience with CLASSStrong Communication SkillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamCommitted to continuing professional developmentBusiness Development exposure What's On Offer
