An industry-renowned, iconic global company is seeking an on-site ICT Specialist for a permanent opportunity based at their South-East Melbourne office, commencing ASAP.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a lively, dynamic, fast-paced office environment.
You will be their go-to IT professional, supporting their Melbourne team on-site and national locations remotely with a broad range of hardware, software and networking issues.
You will be working on-site five days per week ensuring the company's infrastructure runs smoothly.
Ideal for someone who is extroverted and wants to be part of a lively team environment.
Perfect for someone with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to boot.
If you have demonstrated experience of resolving incidents efficiently, strong technical skills and the ability to prioritise tasks as required, then this is the role for you.
Your new roleIn this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:
Manage local infrastructure and networks, including telecommunication devices and related equipmentWorking with global teams to ensure standards, updates and policies are correctly applied in the AU RegionProvide local office support with the following but not limited duties: helpdesk support, user requests, IT policy updates, documentationProvide daily operations / maintenance / Improvement / Troubleshooting of existing hardware, software and infrastructure (system and network)Plan / implement ad hoc local projects as requiredImprove & maintain servers, PC, printers, PABX/telephone systems and related telecommunication equipmentInfrastructure management for network & telecommunication, such as LAN switches, MPLS routers, Internet routers, Fortigate VPNMobile devices managementSupport office for computer related hardware and MS softwareInstallation / setup for new site opening / renovationWhat you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will have:
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Windows server system/network architecture environmentProven experience with AD / DNS / DHCP / Group Policy / o365 / Windows OS Exchange On-prem / Exchange Online / Hyper-V/ Cisco switches and routers / NAS storageGood knowledge of Backup Data Protection AdministrationCisco CCNA course / certification would be welcomed.Enthusiastic and creative self-starter, proactive and reliableGood team player with cultural awarenessExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWhat you'll get in returnWorking in an organisation where they develop and grow careers, you will be offered an excellent salary package and the opportunity to build your IT career, working with the latest technology.
