Communications and Campaign Strategy Officer
HACSU is Tasmania's largest union of workers, campaigning for economic, industrial and social justice.
We represent over 11,000 workers in public and private health, aged care, and community and disability services across the state.
We're looking for an energetic and passionate person who is excited about workers' rights and trying new things to join our communications team, where you'll be a part of a broader team striving to make workers' lives better.
This is a multi-task and multi-functional role where the work required varies widely consistent with the classification level.
Responsibilities: On any given day, your work may include the following:
Produce high-quality and compelling graphics and copy Write, review and quality check content for a wide range of formats and channels Prepare and assist in the compilation of journal articles, newsletters, bulletins and media releases Participate in planning, developing, producing and delivering marketing, communications and campaigns materials from concept through to delivery Producing other publications from concept through to delivery to support the activities of the Industrial and Administrative teams, including promotional and recruitment materials Assist in developing identities and branding for HACSU campaigns Assist in implementing digital campaign activities and devising key supporter actions Participate in day-to-day campaign activities alongside Industrial staff when required Assist with the management of HACSU's social media platforms, and developing and sourcing regular content for them (including copy, website links, shareable graphics, video, etc) You will be someone who: Has a commitment to the Health and Community Services Union and the trade union movement Wants to learn on the job Has good written and verbal communication skills Has experience in managing social media accounts Is a team player who is always bringing creative ideas to the table Has the ability to prioritise and perform multiple tasks concurrently and with a high degree of accuracy Has creative flair and demonstrated competence in utilising Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (or equivalents) If these criteria speak to you, you could be the ideal person for the job.
