Senior Site Hse Advisor

Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time My client is a highly successful long-standing European based business with a global presence, built on a reputation based on safety, service, quality, innovation, and ethical values.
They are recognised as a leading provider of one-stop solutions for the installation and service of onshore and offshore wind turbines throughout the world.
They boast an enviable client base of most global turbine OEM's and major developers, all with an active APAC presence.
The current situation is that they are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor from the Wind Farm/Construction sector to be site-based on large scale Wind Farm construction projects in Australia.
It is critical to your success that you are comfortable working in a large and diverse construction project environment, you will display strong technical ability to:
Engage and support the project team and workforce to champion use of systems, client requirements, and industry best practice.Liaise with client and other key HSE representatives on site.Implementation of HSE standards and procedures to legislative and corporate requirements.Undertake audits, inspections, and frontline engagements.Contribute to risk workshops, communication forums, and safety initiatives.Contribute to work method statements, project plans, and reviews.Contribute to incident investigations and reviews.Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.Support training activities to build team capability.My client is very clear on what they require in the successful candidate:
Most critically you are someone who has chosen HSE as a long-term career path, which has been reinforced with ongoing, personally driven development and training.
This focus will demonstrate an uncompromising attitude, leading the site team to accept nothing but the highest expectations of HSE on site.
You demonstrate a "can do" attitude, someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets things done, comfortable being visible on site to drive and embed the HSE agenda.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills define your success, influencing outcomes and conveying clear messages to a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the messages are received, understood, and embedded.
You are also very well organised, and planned with a calm approach, enabling you to hit the required deadlines and work well under pressure situations.
Due to the level of this role, it would be expected you will demonstrate success in safety and ICAM training backed by 3-5 years practical site-based HSE Advisor experience.
It is envisaged that the absolute minimum level of education for this role is a Cert 4 in Safety; however, a relevant Tertiary qualification in Construction or Engineering will be well considered.
