Education Officer – Student Wellbeing

Provides support, service, and leadership to Catholic primary and secondary schools in the Diocese of Ballarat.
Position DescriptionTerm: Full time, ongoing position
Location: Staff work from office locations in Mildura, Swan Hill, Horsham, Ballarat, and Warrnambool.
The preferred office locations for this position are Mildura and Swan Hill.
The Education Officer: Student Wellbeing will partner with schools to support the development and delivery of strategic system-wide initiatives and policies that enable Catholic school communities to create safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environments to enhance the wellbeing of students and their capacity to effectively engage in their learning.
Benefits in this role include: Professional development and learning opportunities;Be supported by a team of professionals with extensive experience;Make a positive contribution to the lives of children and young people.Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated successful experience in the development of contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning approaches;Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice in relation to data-informed practices that enhance student wellbeing and school community engagement;Demonstrated understanding of multi-tiered systems of support such as School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support;Demonstrated ability to build the capacity of teachers and leaders within schools in relation to student wellbeing and the health and safety of children and young people;Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including:Experience in working collaboratively with school leadership teams;Ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team;Capacity to communicate effectively across a broad range of contexts;Experience in leading project implementation.Download the role description and employment application form.
