We're looking for a dynamic and motivated Regional Business Development Manager to join our team and help accelerate our growth in South Australia and Western Australia.Position OverviewAs a Regional Business Development Manager at Red Earth Energy, you will play a crucial role in expanding our footprint through strategic partnerships with resellers and solar retailers.
Your primary focus will be driving top-line revenue by building, managing, and growing our reseller/solar retailer network.
You will manage end-to-end sales processes, from initial engagement and product demonstrations to closing deals, ensuring our products are well represented across the region.We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic sales professional with deep knowledge of solar and battery energy storage systems.
You will have a proven ability to foster long-term relationships, deliver results, and contribute to the success of a fast-paced and innovative company.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Reseller Network GrowthIdentify, recruit, and onboard new resellers/solar retailers to expand Red Earth's market reach in South Australia and Western Australia.Conduct due diligence to ensure resellers align with our values and business objectives.Drive the expansion of new markets by developing and executing strategies that broaden our customer base.Continuously monitor market trends, opportunities, and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.Reseller Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong, long-term relationships with our reseller/solar retailer network.Act as the primary point of contact for resellers, ensuring they receive the support needed to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer satisfaction.Provide ongoing training and support to ensure resellers are well-versed in our products and can effectively promote Red Earth Energy solutions.Sales Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and execute sales strategies and plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.Prepare and present compelling sales proposals to solar installers, negotiating favourable deals for all parties.Close deals efficiently while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring repeat business.Technical & Product ExpertiseStay up-to-date with industry trends, technological developments, and regulatory changes to maintain a deep knowledge of Red Earth Energy products and solutions.Provide technical expertise and product training to resellers and solar installers to support sales efforts.Address any potential risks within your reseller network and implement strategies to mitigate them.Marketing & PromotionWork closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that promote Red Earth Energy products.Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, building brand awareness and capturing new leads.Support resellers in creating marketing strategies that boost demand for Red Earth's products.Reporting & Data AnalysisMaintain accurate CRM records, tracking all sales activities and customer interactions.Collaborate with senior leadership to develop accurate sales forecasts for your region.Analyse sales data to identify trends, provide strategic insights, and recommend actions for continuous improvement.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum of 5 years of sales or business development experience within the solar or energy storage sector.Deep understanding of solar and battery energy storage systems and their application in B2B environments.Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, particularly in the renewable energy space.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Strong problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking.Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with sales analytics tools is an advantage.Willingness to travel as required to meet with resellers and partners across the region.Preferred QualificationsProfessional certifications in the energy industry are a plus.Familiarity with the regulatory landscape related to solar and energy storage systems in Australia and New Zealand.Why Join Us?This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of the energy revolution.
