As the Manager, Data Governance and Information Management, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that data and information created or collected by WAPHA are responsibly managed and governed to maximise their value and mitigate related risks.
You will be instrumental in establishing and managing policies, frameworks, and processes that empower our team to treat data as a strategic asset for generating insights and driving impact.
Additionally, you will define and enforce standards for information compliance, including adherence to legislative requirements.
This role will be offered as a Full-time Maximum-Term contract for 2 years and offers the flexibility to work from home and office.
Core responsibilities: Develop and implement robust data governance and information management policies and standards.Ensure compliance with Australian Privacy Principles and other relevant privacy legislation.Provide strategic advice on data governance, information management, data sharing agreements, and information privacy.Lead the development of data asset inventories and ensure WAPHA meets its obligations as custodian of its data collections.Establish and manage a data management framework aligned with DAMA DMBOKv2 Framework.Raise awareness of data governance and information management across WAPHA through training and professional development tools.Monitor and ensure compliance with data and information management obligations.Serve as an authoritative source of advice on data governance, data quality, and information management compliance.Develop and implement data management compliance frameworks.Maintain current and relevant knowledge in data management and data quality management.Develop and manage policies and processes for data governance and quality.Monitor and report on compliance and effectiveness of data governance policies.Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in data management practices.Support the optimal use of data and information through developing good data management practices.Develop and implement policies, tools, and professional development resources to support WAPHA's data and information management goals and obligations.About you To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:
