About the Role
Rent.com.au Limited is seeking an exceptional, customer-centric Chief Operating Officer to play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and strategic initiatives.
As the COO, oversee operational aspects of the business, ensuring efficient and effective execution of the company's vision and objectives.

Our products span the full renting lifecycle and include products to search better, apply easily, get deals and finance when moving, and then a better way to pay rent and bills.
Our products are delivered via two core platforms – the rent.com.au Search Portal and the RentPay payments platform.

These platforms adhere to our 'Made for Renters, Loved by Agents' philosophy whereby we design products aimed at renters while recognising that getting real estate agents to use and accept these products is key to them being useful to renters.

What You'll Be Doing
Be the voice of the customer - a real customer champion.
Manage and oversee all day-to-day operations, including payments/loan operations, compliance (AFSL/ACL), customer service, and e-commerce/digital including SEM and SEO.
Implement initiatives to expand the reach of the Rent.com.au platform and prioritise monetisation initiatives.
Lead initiatives to improve effectiveness and cohesion across the Group's operating platforms – focusing on delivering great customer experiences.
Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and execute strategic plans.
Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to measure the company's progress and make data-driven decisions.
Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and development to the operations team.
Manage risk and compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Someone with the credibility to engage with Board and "C" level stakeholders, the empathy to respond to a single customer query and the passion to drive good customer and business outcomes.

Extensive experience (7+ years) in a senior operational role, preferably within the real estate or technology industry.
Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by renters in Australia.
Ability to move fast and hustle - we value our start-up culture and history.
Proven track record of driving business growth and operational excellence.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing and multi-disciplinary teams.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
