Senior Data Insights Analyst Business Group: Westpac Business Unit: Customer Solutions Context: Why this position exists This role supports Westpac's Customer Solutions team, which focuses on delivering superior service and driving strategic priorities.
As a Senior Data Insights Analyst, you will analyse data, build predictive models, and provide actionable insights to help optimize processes and enhance customer engagement.
You will also lead initiatives across digital communication channels, workforce management, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Insights: Gather and analyse data to deliver actionable insights, using tools like SAS, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx , and Python .
Predictive Models: Develop scenario models to provide both predictive and prescriptive insights for decision-making.
Dashboard Management: Build and maintain dashboards to support workforce planning, operations, and credit risk management.
Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align insights with business goals, ensuring seamless operations across functions.
Governance & Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to regulations, governance policies , and operational standards.
Workforce Management: Govern workforce systems to optimize staffing and scheduling across digital and contact channels.
Customer-Centric Focus: Ensure insights align with Westpac's service promise , driving value and enhancing customer outcomes.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement changes aligned with digital transformation initiatives.
Executive Reporting: Prepare insightful reports and presentations to support senior management in key decision-making forums.
Business Partnering: Foster relationships with business partners, helping teams align on strategic objectives.
Position Requirements Bachelor or post graduate qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics preferred.
Provide service excellence by driving value through effective partnering with the Customer Solutions business Very good understanding and working knowledge of Credit Risk in Banking, Remediations, Regulatory/business control development / enhancement, Digital contact strategy monitoring, PowerCurve collection Strong working experience with unstructured data analysis and deriving insights using tools like Python, SAS, R, SQL, Teradata, Tableau, Alteryx, VBA Experience with MS Office products like Excel, PPT At Westpac, we're all about creating a supportive culture and ensuring our workplaces, branches, products, and services are accessible and inclusive for everyone—our customers, employees, and the wider community.
