Program Coordinator - Student Transition to Education, Training and Work We are seeking a Program Coordinator to join our team who is experienced and skilled at case managing young people, aged 15 to 19 years, who have disengaged from education and are needing support to transition into employment and/or further education and training.
Location: Albion Park, New South Wales
Pay Rate: $39.31 per hour plus 11.5% Superannuation
Contract: 35 hours per week.

POSITION PURPOSE The primary function of this role is to case manage school students to achieve specific milestones that assist them to transition from school to further education, training, and/or work.
YOUR APPLICATION SHOULD INCLUDE A cover letter addressing your suitability with reference to the duties, experience, skills, and selection criteriaThe names of two refereesDUTIES Develop professional relationships with students and assist them to transition to further education, training, and/or work.Provide individual client case management to all young people participating in the program.Establish strong positive business relationships with schools, education and training providers, employers, and community agencies.Brokerage of wrap-around services including health, housing, and other community services as may be appropriate to support the transitions of clients.Maintain accurate records of all client activities and progress on the database in a timely manner in line with program requirements.SELECTION CRITERIA Qualifications, Certificates and Licenses Certificate IV or Diploma in Youth Work; Certificate IV in Employment Services or Certificate IV in Career Development or other relevant qualification or 2–3 years demonstrated successful experience working with young people at risk and/or transitioning from school or unemployment to the workforce and/or further education and training.Ability to effectively communicate and relate to young people and other key stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work with young people to improve their education, employment, and life outcomes.Understanding of regional issues for young people.Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities, and meet deadlines.Working with Children Check clearance under the Child Protection Working with Children Act 2012.Current NSW Drivers Licence and capability to travel extensively within the Illawarra and other locations as required.Experience, Skills, and Knowledge: Extensive successful experience and skills in working with young people, particularly disengaged youth with challenging behaviours and complex issues.Well-established local networks/proven ability to develop networks within local communities; and ability to liaise effectively between stakeholders in education, industry, and community organisations to broker training, skill development, and employment opportunities.Proven successful experience in the delivery of youth support services; employment or education services and/or career and transition advice.Proven ability to work with minimal supervision to set priorities, manage caseload, and meet deadlines to achieve targets/KPIs.Experience with record keeping and the use of Microsoft Office software.Workplace Learning (WL) – Why Choose Us Workplace Learning recognises that guiding and supporting young people is a privilege and the work we do is both professionally satisfying.
