Every day we enable more people to take off to more places, more often.Job Description Join a growing Data Warehousing Team in Jetstar TechnologyFull time permanent role based at our head office in Collingwood (hybrid working options available)Staff Travel Benefits from Day OneOur Data Business Analyst will take ownership for leading the Data Business Analyst practice, working as part of an Agile BI delivery team to facilitate the end-to-end capture and delivery of information solutions at Jetstar.Key responsibilities:Analyse raw data and build meaningful stories and reportsSupport and cater data requests from the businessConduct and lead Business Requirement gathering sessions to collect in-depth firsthand business problemsCreate scope for Project and necessary artefacts required.
Set the correct timelines and expectations after discussion within the teamDevelop proof of concept BI models and prototypes to prove solution feasibilityUndertake detailed research and analysis and translate requirements into accurate epics and user stories with acceptance criteriaEstablish the tools, templates and procedures required to provide a high level of support BI Analysts at JetstarBe the first point of User Acceptance testing before handing it over to businessPartner effectively with our stakeholders to elicit and document business objectives, processes, scope and specific use-cases that will drive product developmentActive participation in product backlog prioritization and product planning processesLead the acquisition and profiling of new data sourcesAct as a member of the Agile delivery team, supporting the technical and architecture functions with respect to core solution development, coordination of acceptance testing and release management.You'll have:6 - 8 years of data analysis/business analysis experience (preferred)Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology discipline (preferred)Experience with querying on databases like SQL ServerStrong data analysis and querying skillsExperience in data testing, reference data management and data quality processesHands-on experience on MSBI StackExperience in generating detailed BRD, LLD and HLD artefactsKnowledge on Cloud technologies (AWS, Redshift etc) will be an added advantageExposure to structured and unstructured data technologiesCertification or comparable experience in an Agile environment (Scrum/Lean)Sound stakeholder management and business engagement skillsExperience working in an outsourced/offshore BI development environmentApplied understanding of Agile methodologies and ways of working.Please note: applications will only be considered for candidates who have the right to work in Australia / New Zealand without restriction or sponsorship.Our CultureJetstar is alive with a sense of adventure.
