Location: Woolloongabba, Queensland Type: Contract Job #17309 Overview Our large commercial client is looking to engage an Education Analyst on a 6-month initial contract with a high likelihood of extension.
This business-focused role will involve deep analysis of educational data, identifying key challenges and opportunities within underperforming schools, and presenting evidence-based recommendations to senior leaders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the education sector, strong business analysis and data analysis skills, and the ability to develop comprehensive business cases to improve school performance and sustainability.
Responsibilities Collate, review, and validate existing data sources to generate insightful reports that highlight key challenges and opportunities for enhancing school performance.
Work closely with the Enhancing Schools Consultation Team, ensuring all documentation and data is thoroughly reviewed and shared prior to school consultations.
Engage with internal stakeholders to present findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with the Enhancing Schools Project Team to identify systemic trends and key findings, offering deeper insights into the challenges and opportunities within schools.
Develop detailed business cases for approved recommendations, identifying benefits, success metrics, and resource requirements to support informed decision-making.
Partner with subject matter experts to generate actionable recommendations aimed at improving school performance, sustainability, and the overall educational experience.
Attend scheduled moderation days to ensure consultation reports meet external validation standards and uphold independence of the Inner-City Schools Team.
Foster a culture of innovation by continuously exploring ways to enhance the learning experience for students, families, and staff.
Present findings, analysis, and recommendations to senior leaders confidently, ensuring clear communication and alignment with strategic goals.
Contribute to the development of capabilities and operations within the Enhancing Schools Team, supporting other initiatives as required.
Skills and Experience Proficient in data collection, organisation, and analysis, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, particularly in the context of education.
Proven experience in business analysis, financial planning, and data-driven decision-making.
Ability to analyse complex educational challenges and offer creative, innovative solutions to improve school performance and sustainability.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data and concepts clearly to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Experience using Power BI or similar tools to visualise data and present findings effectively.
Familiarity with school operations, curriculum compliance, and the unique challenges within the education sector.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders, driving consensus and achieving business outcomes.
Hold a valid or willing to obtain a Working With Children Check (Blue Card) at own expense.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business and/or Data Analyst, ideally within the education sector.
