The Opportunity
The Accessible Infrastructure Officer is responsible for advocating improvements to accessibility for people with disabilities and other limitations that impact their ability to access our services.
This includes analysis of data, provision of professional reports, and developing strategies, policies, procedures, and business cases related to universal accessibility in the Adelaide Metropolitan Public Transport Network (AMPTN).
The role involves collaboration and engagement with advocacy and special interest groups that support people with disabilities, negotiating positive outcomes in line with available resources and the duties of the role.
The incumbent will also provide professional and practical support and advice to project delivery organisations throughout the project lifecycle.
Licences
A current driver's licence.
Special Conditions
Prior to employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide:
A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.This position has been identified as a Rail Safety Worker and classified as a Category 3 Non-Safety Critical Worker, subject to periodic health assessments as per Rail Safety National Law (South Australia) Act 2012 (RSNL).
All Rail Safety Workers must carry out their duties in accordance with the RSNL and the Rail Commissioner's Safety Management System.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
