Based in Melbourne, Australia, DEUTZ innovative drive systems are used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and other applications.
An exciting opportunity now presents itself for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager – Off Grid Battery Storage Systems.
This newly created role is pivotal to the business, and reports to the Managing Director.
There will be the occasional need to travel overseas.
Whilst the Head Office is based in Melbourne, we encourage applications from all States of Australia.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE WITH OFF-GRID BESS. The role offers you a chance to be working in an up-to-date modern facility, together with an inclusive and social team who promote a work-life balance culture.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement the business strategy to enter and buildup Battery Storage Product Sales within the region
• Develop new channels to market for the DEUTZ battery system products
• Establish market share within battery storage industry
• Establish business relationships with new OEM's
• Be the Technical Product Champion and offer technical support to external and internal customers.
• Increase presence in active markets by way of attending and working key industry events and exhibitions.
• Develop advertising, marketing strategies & campaigns with assistance from the DEUTZ Marketing team
• Collate competitor data to ensure DEUTZ remain competitive within our target markets
• Maintain a good working relationship with manufacturer.

SAA Design accreditation for off grid battery systemsProven Technical Sales BackgroundTechnical Knowledge of off grid battery systemsDEUTZ Product Knowledge/Training advantageousStrategic Thinker with short, medium & long term planning mindset.Technical Sales Experience in Off Grid Battery Systems for Mining, Agriculture and Construction sectorsBusiness Acumen / Commercial ExperienceQuotation & Tender Preparation & Costing ExperienceAdvanced Level in MS Office & SystemsDefine & implement strategies to grow the business & meet targetsMotivator To All stakeholdersTeam Player but with ability to work autonomouslyAdvanced Communications Skills Both Written & VerbalProblem Solving & Prompt Issue Resolution MindsetFlexible and Open to ChangeMaintain Customer Service Focus At All TimesMaintaining Relationships With Internal & External StakeholdersAbility to quickly establish and maintain a rapport with internal and external stakeholdersSelf motivation and a genuine desire to succeedOutstanding customer service skillsThis is a great opportunity to join this global brand at this exciting time.
