Assistant / Project Manager Client

Taking projects from DA through to delivery. Our client is a boutique construction consultancy offering construction planning, advice and client project management services across Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Mixed-use, Retail and Hotel sectors. They are now seeking an Assistant / Project Manager to join their professional team in their Melbourne office.
A high degree of client and stakeholder liaison will be involved, from feasibility stage to delivery stage of the project. The role will need strong communication skills along with a strong base of technical knowledge and ability to administer a contract.
The ideal candidate will be a contract administrator coming from a head contractor background and looking to make the move across to client side project management although candidates can also come from a consultancy background as well. Having new build experience in projects of a similar nature would be ideal, projects are $50m to $200m+ and are residential, commercial, hotel, mixed use, built to rent etc. and all A grade clients.
They generally take projects from front end advisory through the 360 process of delivering the job.
Years of experience: 3 - 5+ years
Responsibilities include but not limited to: Client management and consultationProject Planning/Feasibility studiesRisk ManagementValue EngineeringDesign Management and Value EngineeringProcurement of construction servicesCost control and cost reporting and superintendentManaging project deliveryCommissioning and post contract duties for handoverQualifications and Requirements: Bachelor of Construction Management Engineering, Architecture or property related qualification3 – 5+ years of end-to-end project management on building projectsStrategic thinker who is able to see the bigger pictureExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPrevious client side project management experience idealThis is a permanent full time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and innovative organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
