Introduction:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hands-On Chef Manager to oversee our culinary operations in a private hospital setting.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and nutrition, demonstrating a commitment to providing high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of our patients and staff.
This role combines culinary expertise with strong leadership skills to ensure an exceptional dining experience while adhering to health and safety regulations.

The Role:
Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint a Permanent Full time Chef Manager at our Private Hospital in Warriewood - Northern Beaches NSW.
Organising day-to-day operations; this is the ideal role for someone who wants to provide a fantastic meal experience to our patients and values a well-run kitchen.
Roster:
Monday to Thursday 5.30 to 2 pm
Friday Admin Day 5.30 to 2 pm
What This Role Involves:
Culinary Leadership: Directly manage the kitchen staff, including catering assistants, chefs, and dietary aides, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Menu Development: Design and implement nutritious, appealing menus that cater to diverse dietary needs, preferences, and restrictions, including special diets for patients.
Food Preparation: Actively participate in food preparation and cooking, leading by example to maintain high culinary standards and efficiency.
Quality Control: Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and patient satisfaction.
Nutritional Oversight: Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare professionals to ensure all meals meet nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements.
Staff Training: Train and mentor kitchen staff on food safety practices, cooking techniques, and menu execution.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, ordering, and storage of food supplies, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and minimal waste.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all kitchen operations adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and training.
Patient and Staff Engagement: Foster positive relationships with patients and staff, seeking feedback to continually improve dining experiences.
Skills and Experiences:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary management role, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervisor qualification.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary guidelines.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Creativity and a passion for food, with the ability to adapt menus to meet patient needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
