Job Description
Responsible for the management of all group bookings of 10 rooms or more.
Handle enquiries for group bookings via email or phone during the shift, communicate immediately, and provide a reply or confirmation within a reasonable timeframe.
Handle guest complaints and enquiries in an efficient and professional manner and ensure the Manager is informed of any guest feedback.
Perform all reservations duties including making and entering reservations.
Prepare group information sheets (group movements) and briefing of Hotel Stakeholders prior to arrival of group.
Ensure a clear line of communication with other departments for special requests or other reservation-related matters.
Qualifications
Experience in a Front Office or Reservations role is highly desirable.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera PMS is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment.
Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.
Time management skills with the ability to multitask.
