Together, we aim to lead a new era of cancer prevention, care and discovery, supported by state-of-the-art facilities at our new home within the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre building.Your role in our future.As a suitably qualified and experienced technician, you will be responsible for supporting the diagnostic .
A diploma in Laboratory technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution with subjects relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations is essential.
As are good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Previous pathology experience and experience in molecular diagnostics would be highly desirable.This position will work closely with the Laboratory Operations Support team to maintain general laboratory facilities including stock requests and inventory management (via FMIS Oracle and iLAB), asset/equipment maintenance and calibration, and performing other general lab duties as required.This position is full time fixed-term (6 months).You will receive extensive on-the-job training in Pathology molecular diagnostics as specified by our regulatory requirements and quality systems, as well as exposure to a wide range of projects based upon innovative research from local and international collaborators.For further information about this opportunity, please review the position description or contact us for a confidential discussion.Peter Mac requires its staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
