And as we grow and deliver that pipeline of projects in the coming years, we will continue to serve our communities and deliver the power that Queensland needs.About the roleFull-time permanent opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.The Payroll Officer contributes to the delivery of a comprehensive payroll service to Stanwell as well as providing advice on system and process implementation of remuneration and benefit strategies.The primary objective of the role is to ensure the accurate and timely payment of wages and salaries in accordance with relevant industrial instruments, legislation and organisational policies and procedures.Key activities include:Co-ordinate the day-to-day operating aspects of the payroll function including taxation (PAYG and payroll tax), leave management, superannuation, allowances, salary sacrifice options, terminations etc.Process payroll for Stanwell employees according to pay cycle timeframes.Co-ordinate the compilation and payment of weekly, fortnightly, or monthly deductions and superannuation contributions.Undertake the appropriate reviews and audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy of payments to employees and external parties.Provide information and input as required into the Enterprise Agreement (EA) process.About youA minimum of 3 years payroll experience, ideally in an industrial environment such as electricity or mining (highly regarded).Understanding of general accounting principles.Experience with manual interpretation of EA rules and the application of those rules to hours worked.Ability to interpret Awards/Agreements and apply policies and procedures within the payroll function.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Knowledge of PAYG tax, FBT and superannuation legislation and its application to Payroll related issues.Desirable: iChris or Chris21 systems experience.Benefits:12.75% employer contribution to superannuationAccess to Bright Spark - our rewards, recognition, and discounts platformWeekly payContributions for IP/TPD insurance unitsFlexible work arrangementsCentrally located in Brisbane CBDIncentive schemeHealth and wellbeing initiatives (e.g. skin checks, flu vaccines)Access to learning and development on and off the jobExceptional safety culturePlus, a whole lot moreWhat's next?To submit your application, please apply online with your CV.Applications close: 11:55pm, 30 October 2024Further information on Stanwell can be found online at www.stanwell.comAs part of the recruitment process, you may be required to undertake pre-employment checks (may include police checks, AusCheck, medical assessment and/or drug and alcohol testing).Inclusion and diversity is an important part of shaping Stanwell's culture and how our workplace operates.
