Full time Foxleigh Mine is located 15km south of Middlemount and approx.
275km northwest of Rockhampton.
The mine is in its 2nd year of operation producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing.

About the Role We are currently recruiting for a passionate Health & Safety Specialist that will form an integral part of driving positive safety culture on-site.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety leader to develop their skills and experience in a robust mining environment.
Reporting to the Health Safety & Training Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Developing, maintaining, and integrating best practice HST strategies and initiatives to support operational outcomesContractor management, coordination, and oversight of contractor health & safety management, performance, and complianceLeading and managing the ICAM process to ensure timely close-out and meaningful outcomesAssisting in the development, review, and maintenance of the Foxleigh SHMSIdentifying training needs and coordinating programs to achieve compliance with statutory and company requirementsWorking collaboratively with other departments to improve HST delivery and risk management across FoxleighProviding essential leadership and guidance to the HST teamAbout You This role will see you working closely with internal and external stakeholders of various statures on a daily basis and requires an individual with a proven passion for Health and Safety.
Ideally, you will have:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsSpecialist knowledge of the SHMS framework within the Coal IndustryA true passion for creating, engaging, and inspiring a positive safety cultureThe ability to complete methodical, accurate, and timely preparation of data, report writing, and management informationA drive to 'challenge the norm'Foxleigh's preferred candidate will also possess 5+ years of Health & Safety experience at a coordinator or senior level, and a Bachelor of Occupational Health (or similar).
