Psychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical) Western Health is seeking a Senior Social Worker Grade 3 ongoing full-time to join the Sunshine Hospital Psychiatric Inpatient Unit.
There is no better time to join Western Health, now with a workforce of over 13,000 employees, significant investment has recently seen the completion of the Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre, the new Footscray Hospital construction being well on the way and the new Melton Hospital project gaining traction.
About the role You will lead, manage, and provide expert guidance to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality services that promote well-being and safeguard vulnerable consumers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead a team of Social Workers and provide exceptional operational oversight, supervision, guidance, and supportLead research and quality activities and maintain data reporting and analysisProvide professional leadership through pro-active participation within the Social Work service and multidisciplinary teamAbout you It is expected that you will hold:
A Bachelor/Master of Social Work degree and eligibility for AASW membership5-7 years of experience in mental health, ideally within hospital/healthcare setting, community-based services or private practiceLeadership skills, with experience supervising and mentoring staffA background in research and quality improvement activitiesAn understanding of the risks associated with family and domestic violence and you are skilled in developing comprehensive safety plans for consumersHow to Apply Click 'Apply' at the top of the page now and attach your current résumé and cover letter.
