The Lean Material Handler duties include, but are not limited to, loading, unloading and moving material in the climate-controlled warehouse.
Seeking 1st and 2nd shift drivers.
Responsibilities: Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelvesConveys materials to designated storage areasEffectively communicating with Table leads to facilitate efficient material flowProactively identify damaged parts and call immediate attention to itFollow all safety procedures including proper usage of safety equipment and toolsMust demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to an agreed-upon schedule as determined by ManagerAdhere to all safety, OSHA guidelines, work rules and policies and focus daily on housekeeping inside and outside of the facilityExhibit and adhere to the established VCC Core ValuesPerform other duties as assignedRequirements: High School diploma or equivalentA minimum of 1 to 3 years of full-time industry experience in a warehouse, distribution center, order fulfillment center, logistics, supply chain operations or manufacturing environment.
Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be accepted.Ability to exhibit experience with a stand-up high lift deep reach forklift equipment, pallet riders and/or stock pickers.Current Forklift license and certificationStrong knowledge of distribution center compliance and procedures and the objectives of handling material within a warehouseExperience and the ability to utilize an RF scannerExperience with a forklift truck and/or a tuggerAbility to work in a team atmosphere, promoting positive work relationships with other Team Members, as well as internal and external customersCapacity to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from other departments and interruptions with accuracyAbility to follow directions and communicate in English verbally and in writing and to read and understand materials printed in EnglishCapacity to be self-motivated and achieve goals with minimal supervision or directionExperience with picking parts or components from work instructionsMust exhibit the ability to read, write, understand, and speak EnglishHours: 4:30 pm to 1:00 am 2nd shift8:00 am to 4:30 pm 1st shiftAvailability before or after designated work hours and/or weekends may be requiredPay Rate: $19.00/hour with $1.00/hour shift differentialLocation: 170 Smith Farms Pkwy, Greer, SC 29651Qualified applicants are considered for employment, and employees are treated during employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, gender identity or expression, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.
