Together, you will help us create a future worth celebrating.About the role:The On-Premise channel provides the most dynamic & exciting retail environment in Australia & Diageo is on a mission to deliver amazing availability of its core spirits portfolio, build exciting new brands, and create cultures through brilliant customer partnerships.The On-Premise Channel at Diageo is made up of a diverse mix of Customers including Hotels, Casinos, Restaurants, Travel, Wholesale, Festivals Events & Sponsorship & all kinds of Hospitality/Pub groups.This role will play an integral part of a thriving On-Premises Business unit and will be responsible for the management of some of the leading NSW Hospitality partners, including Merivale, Solotel, IRIS, Fink, Oscars & Redcape to name a few, while always prospecting and building brilliant trade relationships across the state. These customers contribute a significant part of channel financials in NSW & nationally.We are looking for someone who has great relationships, can act boldly, think big, and chase success with an unrelenting passion for our brands and our customers whilst actively contributing to the fantastic culture this team has built over time.Role Responsibilities:Key to the role is driving the volume, visibility & profitability of our ever-growing portfolio of brands within a defined set of customers. In this role, you will be tasked with leading the joint business planning agenda with your Customer portfolio, managing several internal stakeholders along the way.You'll set strategic performance objectives with your customers & turn creative, entrepreneurial ideas into Commercial realities in the market. New business development also forms an important dimension in this role.Market ComplexityThe role requires the servicing of several Key On Premise accounts from a HO office perspective and then working closely with the relevant state representatives to ensure brilliant execution is achieved as agreed. Contracts with accounts may vary from high-level commercial agreements to marketing brand-led executions & differing discount/rebate strategies. This role requires strategic planning and the ability to adapt your style when required.Organisational Skills:Strategic Management: ExperiencedDevelop and execute consumer and customer JUBP with defined customers, aligning these to brand and channel objectives.Work closely with the Head of On-Premise building plans to execute and drive performance across all National and state-based key account groups.Align customer plans to Diageo Australia growth ambitions and vice versa.Effective Time Management and ability to prioritise very effectively and work autonomously at times on multiple projects or initiatives.Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to build Qtrly, half-yearly, and annual business reviews as required.Ideas:DevelopedKnows how to make things happen in immediate environment by using formal and informal channels.Pushes forward own ideas about improvements to current approaches; speaks up to check understanding. Maintains drive in most situations without support from others.People Management:ExperiencedTakes ownership for the performance outcomes of your team.Shows a genuine interest in the individuals in your team, creates clarity and focus through high-performance coaching.Top accountabilities:Delivery of the business unit targets through effective key account management and negotiation skills.Brilliant Execution of Diageo brand priorities & innovation launches.Leadership of the Joint business planning with key customers.Increase the visibility of the On Premise internally and ensuring commercial and marketing teams are fully engaged in the On-premise plan.Lead the development & ownership of a Key venue segmentation pillar within the OP channel.Sourcing new Business opportunities for Diageo within On Premise & ability to chase down white space areas of growth.What you'll bring to the table:High level negotiation skills.High Commercial acumen and customer account management experience (ideally On Premise).Brilliant Account management disciplines and behaviours.Exposure to working in rapidly changing environments, possessing proven change management skills.Proven leadership experience and contribution within team environments.Leadership experience working with cross-functional teams.Applicant must demonstrate a high level of relationship/Interpersonal skills.Degree qualified in relevant tertiary discipline e.g. Business/Commerce, Marketing (preferred but not essential).Previous experience in FMCG environment: Liquor and/or On Premise is preferable but not essential.Our commitment to inclusion and diversity:We know that for our business to thrive and for Diageo to realize its ambition, we depend on having diverse talent with a range of backgrounds, skills, and capabilities in each of the 180 countries in which we operate and to reflect our broad consumer base.
