The OpportunityThe Department of Communities are seeking passionate leaders, to lead and effectively manage a team of senior child protection workers.
The environment will be fast paced and involve multiple agencies and competing priorities.
These essential workers will support the existing Family and Domestic Violence Response Team (FDVRT) model in a newly established Central Triage Team.

Located in Perth CBD, the Central Triage Team will enhance the FDVRT model and be responsible for reviewing all family violence incidents reported to WA Police Force.
The team is a multi-agency, co-located team that will provide 7-day coverage of family and domestic violence risk assessment and multi-agency triage.

FDVRTs are a partnership between the Department of Communities, Western Australia Police Force, family domestic violence Coordinated Response Services (CRS) and Department of Justice, Adult Community Corrections (ACC).
The FDVRT model aims to improve the safety of child and adult victim-survivors of family and domestic violence (FDV) and the accountability of perpetrators collaboratively.

This is a Shift Working PositionShift penalties associated with these positions are in line with the Industry Award.

Penalties include:
Saturday paid at time and a half Sunday paid at time and three quarters Public holidays paid at double time and a half If deemed successful, your roster may consist of morning and afternoon shifts (subject to operational requirements) and is subject to change.

Qualification Requirements You must have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position. All overseas qualifications must also be assessed for Australian equivalency.
