We are creating The Westpac Mesh, a digital platform where developers have a great experience building great software.
Our team of polyglot engineers build delightful experiences for other software engineers in Westpac.
You will develop our flagship Mesh Connect Marketplace and tools that allow other developers in Westpac to easily build, deploy and run future ready applications with ease.
Main accountabilities include:
First and foremost, build great softwareImprove build processes, tooling & libraries to delight a large community of developers.Foster excellent team-dynamics to keep the team encouraged and motivated.Facilitate communication within and across teams and ensure stakeholders are kept updated.Identify and facilitate the removal of impediments.Working closely with others to build a vibrant technical community.What do I need?
A polyglot programmer with demonstrated experience.Strong experience in developing APIs and microservices with Java, with experience of Node.js or Python desirable.A solid understanding of public cloud, with experience in a production environment a plus.Passionate about agile practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair-Programming and Continuous Delivery and Deployment.Ideally, you'll be part of the wider technical community through things like MeetUps, having a side-project or as an open-source contributor.We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities and each other.
