Your New Role
Reporting to the Chief People & Communications Officer, this senior role leads a high-performing team managing digital, media, crisis and internal communications, publications, government relations, and public affairs.
The role advises the executive and board, handles critical issues, and collaborates across Victoria's health network.
With a seven-day on-call roster, flexibility for major events and after-hours availability are essential.
This dynamic position offers the chance to drive meaningful change in healthcare
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:
Commitment to the Melbourne Way: prioritising people, kindness, and collaborative excellence.
Over five years' experience leading a Communications Team, ideally in health, not-for-profit, or government sectors.
Proven ability to manage media relations, crisis communications, and strategic public health narratives.
Strong skills in prioritisation, stakeholder engagement, and overseeing diverse communications portfolios, including digital and brand management.
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including journalists, government advisors, and health leaders.
