If so, we would love for you to join our amazing team at BaptistCare's Gimbawali Place located in Carlingford as a Housing Manager.
Your Role: As a Housing Manager, you will be responsible for providing team leadership, site management, tenancy and asset management services, as well as connecting residents to the services they need to sustain their tenancies and achieve their goals.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our housing services and maintaining a positive community atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities: Manage housing in accordance with policies and proceduresConduct environmental audits and annual unit inspectionsManage allocations for new social housing tenants in accordance with Housing PathwaysHandle breaches of tenancy, including rent arrears and neighbour disputesPrepare and lodge documents, and represent the organisation for NCAT hearingsPromote community vitality and organize social activitiesMonitor rental payments and arrange payment plansCoordinate property inspections and maintenanceIdentify residents at risk and collaborate with support services and other stakeholdersEnsure compliance with community housing regulations and legislationSkills & Experience: Hold a Diploma or degree, or equivalent with professional experienceDemonstrated customer service skills and experience, preferably in housing, or other community services fieldDemonstrated leadership experience to effectively develop and support staffDemonstrated ability to manage the business activities of HousingDemonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and promote the organisation's values through interactions at workExcellent skills in building effective customer relationships, building a community and maintaining a welcoming and harmonious ambienceDemonstrated capability to manage diversity and implement social inclusion strategiesAbility to successfully manage tenancies and negotiate leasesAbility to work in harmony with, and support the Purpose and Values of BaptistCareExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise professionally with all stakeholdersHigh level computer skillsStrong organisational, negotiating and problem solving skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to address on-site emergenciesExperience of working with individuals with complex needsProven organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise own and team workloadAbility to maintain confidentiality and act with professionalism at all timesA Valid NSW Driver's LicenseNSW Working with Children Check for paid employment purposesA current First Aid CertificateAbout Us: BaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT and WA.
